Figure of a Royal Cuirassier whit his regimental standard. His mission give solemn escort to the King, the Royal Family and chiefs of state in visit to Spain.
They are ranked in the Squadron of Royal Escort, wear the classic uniform of 1875 whit the special distinctions for the King Juan Carlos I. Apart of his participations in differents parades and events, the cuirassiers of the Royal Guard escort the protocol car of the king in official events.
This is a tradition what come from 1987 when the cuirassiers escort the king´s car in a military parade in Zaragoza. Whit this section in the Royal Guard exist two sections of Royal Lanciers what are armed whit spears of bamboo and in winter wear cloaks in white and red.
